Le Méridien Etoile welcomes the ART IS LIFE tour

Announced in December 2008 at Le Méridien Etoile, the ART IS LIFE programme is part of the wider Check Out For Children programme, a partnership between Starwood Hotels & Resorts and UNICEF. ART IS LIFE gives guests the opportunity to support UNICEF's HIV prevention programmes in Africa through the addition of a $1 (or its local currency equivalent) donation upon checkout at all Le Méridien hotels and resorts in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

After Le Méridien Beach Plaza, Le Méridien Vienna, Le Méridien Barcelona, Le Méridien Brussels, and Le Royal Méridien Hamburg, the ART IS LIFE tour is hosted at Le Méridien Etoile from December 7th to 17th 2009. 

This temporary exhibition showcases artworks in the lobby : 

• Breaking the Silence and Theatre of the Oppressed films by Kiki Allgeier,
• photographs of the making of the film by Mauro Pinto,
• an art installation, ‘Dome Dwellings - Africa', specifically created for the ART IS LIFE programme by Lucy and Jorge Orta.

Come and discover the exhibition, and support UNICEF's programmes in Africa - a donation box is placed in the reception area.

A cocktail has been especially created for this event: taste it at L'Orenoc restaurant and at the Bar of the Jazz Club Etoile.
